Experience the beauty of the San Juan Mountains on a guided snowshoe or hiking tour.
Wild Hare Snowshoe & Hiking Tours offers easy to moderate snowshoe excursions in winter, and hiking trips in the summer in the Telluride, Ophir and Lizard Head region.
Enjoy the quiet of the backcountry with one of our knowledgeable guides, while learning about the wildlife, history and geology of the region.
Half-day group tours from 9:30am-1pm
$125 per/person, 2+ guests
Single guests may join a group tour, or call us to inquire about a private tour for a single guest.
Specialty and full-day tours available upon request.
Gear brought by Guest, Winter: light ski wear, snow boots for warmth—that can strap onto snowshoes, layers, hat, sunglasses, gloves, sunscreen, water bottle, snack or energy bar if you’d like, backpack to carry your water and snack (or our guides will carry for you), camera. Guests may wear a mask in the vehicle.

Cancellation: Please give Wild Hare plenty of notice if you need to cancel your reservation. No refunds will be given for trips cancelled within 72 hours, as we may not be able to find replacements if you cancel. Full payment will be required, even if you haven’t paid a deposit. Thank you!

After 25 years in the mountain biking, rafting and fishing business, Midnite opened Wild Hare Snowshoe & Hiking Tours to offer outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to explore the backcountry wilderness.
Snowshoeing and Hiking are an easy and fun way to get outside and experience the beauty of the San Juan mountains, and our tours will take you to places off the beaten path.
